Fashion Infection

The Fashion Infection festival was launched in 1999 and has become most prominent festival of fashion and culture. Fashion Infection brings together young talents and fashion professionals from Lithuania and abroad. Fashion Infection affirms ideological freedom and is looking for new talents, but not for the representatives of commercial glamour. Those who do not shout out loud but always have something to say are welcomed here. We do not present posh brands, but interesting oddities and eccentric upstarts whose ideas do not always receive the immediate recognition of the nation.

Fashion Infection stands for originality, a unique way of thinking, and culture. The festival breaks traditional boundaries of fashion weeks as it is open to all who are interested: professionals, fashion-minded people, critics and curious spectators. Foreign participants are impressed by its openness to a very broad audience, because most Western fashion events are accessible only to the press, VIPs, invited guests. Openness is our trump card which helps us to invite exciting figures from the international fashion arena to present their most recent collections in Vilnius.

The festival has become a cultural phenomenon, attracting an increasingly large audience and number of artists who want to take part in it. Set and light designers, photographers, musicians, DJs, graphic designers, video artists-a like-minded group of professionals create all conditions for designers to make an interesting and unexpected presentation of their collections.

Lithuanian audience already had got a chance to see plenty of interesting guests from overseas: Arce de Vilsbol and Asger Juel Larsen from Denmark; Martin Lamothe, Carlos Diez Diez, and El Delgado Buil from Spain; Annette Kölling, Antonia Goy, Mongrel in Common, Starstyling and Patrick Mohr from Germany; Andrew Logan, Siv Stodal, Jojo & Malou, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Alistair Carr, Osman Yousefzada, and Avshalom Gur from Great Britain; Richard Rene, Seiko Taki, Stephanie Coudert, and Le Bihan Marc from France; and Denis Simachev, Oleg Biryukov, Alena Ahmadulina, and Andrey Bartenev from Russia.
