INJECTION OF NEW TALENTS
Injekcija (Injection) – an emerging fashion talent competition established in 2008 by the festival Mados Infekcija.
The purpose of the event is to discover novel and talented upcoming designers with fresh and original ideas that could be injected into the main festival.
The winners of the program are rewarded with a support and an opportunity to present it during the festival Mados Infekcija together with the leading designers.
During the latter competition 'Injekcija' from 13 participants three winners were selected. The emerging new talents who will showcase their collections during the 10th Anniversary of the festival 'Mados Infekcija' in 2010 is:
• Dovilė Kaušakytė and Eglė Mazecaitė (collection 'Kaunas wife or kupiškėnų weddings');
• Diana Kuzmickaitė and Aušra Urbanavičiūtė ('Lezenfan');
• Vidmina Stasiulytė ('Fast Forward').
Previous two competitions 'Injekcija' used to received about 15-20 applications from which 5-8 finalists were picked out, therefore 34 applications submitted in autumn 2009 was a pleasant surprise.
